The Preparation of a Relocation Notice

Both parents are ought to file notice before the court as regards their relocation, regardless of the place. A 90-day period must be observed before filing the notice of the intent to relocate. Such notice must contain the following information:

• Complete address of the new location;
• Phone number of the new location;
• Other contact numbers of the relocating parent;
• Date of relocation ;
• A summary statement of the reasons for the relocation
• A modified schedule for the parent visitation
• A statement of objection of the non-relocating parent
• A statement stating the intention to file a petition to modify a custody, child support or visitation time.
